It will be a big weekend of baseball in Latrobe Valley as the Under 15 State Winter Championships take place at Morwell and Moe/Newborough Baseball Clubs from 5-6 July.

The action starts with 9am games on Saturday and 20 games total across the two days. Division 1 will play at Morwell and include Dandenong, Diamond Valley, Ringwood, and Geelong. Division 2 will play at Moe/Newborough and feature Bendigo, City West, Latrobe Valley, and North East.

“We are looking forward to a fantastic weekend as our State Winter Champs return to Latrobe Valley,” BV Tournament Officer Tony McPherson said. “Good luck to all the young baseballers hitting the field!”

Baseball Victoria also thanks host clubs Morwell and Moe/Newborough, as well as Latrobe Valley Baseball Association and Latrobe City for their support.

“The Baseball Victoria Under 15 State Winter Championships have become a long-standing winter tradition here in Latrobe City, and we’re proud to continue hosting such a significant event for the sport in Victoria. The tournament has certainly had a strong and consistent presence in the region for at least the past seven years. It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase our region during the winter months and to celebrate the commitment and talent of players from right across the state,” said Latrobe City Council Mayor, Councillor Dale Harriman.

“I’d like to extend our thanks to Baseball Victoria and the hardworking local clubs who help bring this event to life. Their dedication ensures that Council continues to be a valued host for high-quality sporting events that benefit both our community and visiting teams."
